We completed post production on a collection of films by writer and director Sonja Phillips for Helphouseher.org, a grassroots movement committed to changing the narrative around homelessness and finding housing solutions for women.
Sonja writes: “While volunteering on Skid Row in 2017, I was appalled by the sheer number of homeless people and felt compelled to create a short film to bring a wider understanding that homelessness can happen to anyone in America.
I decided to make a call to action film to portray this, whilst giving dignity to the women we interviewed. This was never just about the film, we have built a website to help people to understand, find shelters, or to donate.
Bubble and Silk have been so wonderful - not only did Marty put a wonderful grade on all the exterior shots, he also graded all the personal stories. And James made the audio sound just great.”
The main film has been used by charities in LA to help open shelters and is being promoted by #SheDoes, a nonprofit organisation and movement for homeless women.
