In its latest advert mixed by Jack, Jools Holland takes us on a journey through high-definition music – highlighting each element that goes into a track and what you may miss when streaming or listening to your favourites in a compressed format such as MP3.


Music can bring the atmosphere to any business alive and PRS provide music licences to organisations, which gives them permission to play the millions of songs created by their songwriter and composer members and the members of our affiliated societies around the world.

Jack worked with the team at Fold 7 to create a soundtrack using clever sound design for the latest advert highlighting the great work PRS undertake.

Will the cost of eating keep rising?

In this revelatory series Jimmy's Food Price Hike farmer Jimmy Doherty travels the globe to find out why the price of our food is spiraling out of control. Focusing on one meal in each episode - breakfast, lunch and dinner - Jimmy uncovers why staple ingredients we take for granted are increasing and why the era of cheap food may be over for good.

In Jimmy's Food Price Hike he finds out how extreme weather in America is affecting the cost of a loaf of bread, why China's growing middle classes are making the ham sandwich more expensive and why, in the future, the price of oil might drive up the price of your cornflakes.

James worked on the sound design and mix on the promo for this new series.


Silk is a series about life at the Bar, the dilemmas and problems that modern day barristers have to face, and what it means to become a silk. Series three comes to BBC Entertainment soon and James worked on the sound design and mix for the promo.


Shark is a major wildlife series on the sharks of the world with over thirty species filmed, showing how they hunt, intricate social lives, courtship, growing up and the threats they face. James worked on the sound design and mix for this amazing new series


Spike TV is coming to the UK. On 15 April Viacom – the network behind MTV, Channel 5, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon – are launching a new channel available via Freeview, FreeSat and Sky. So what have they got in store?

The biggest news is that Spike will be the first free-to-air channel to broadcast all 62 episodes of Breaking Bad. So anyone without Netflix can finally catch up on the meth-centric crime drama starring Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul. Episode 1 will screen on opening night with a further episode every night.

Fantasy adventure Olympus (15 Apr) will be making its début. A brand new take on Greek mythology following a young hero, rather appropriately named Hero (Tom York), as he battles Cyclops, nymphs and other legendary beasties.

Spike have also announced they have secured the rights to Sons of Anarchy, Justified and The Walking Dead in the coming months.

Jack composed the track for the promo launching the channel, as well as doing the record and mix.

BBC's successful series 'The Musketeers' heads to South Africa.

Physco Thriller Bates Motel returns to the Universal Channel soon for Season Three.

To celebrate this fact James worked on the sound design and mix for the promo for the new series.

Politicians for Hire

The latest in the Dispatches series for Channel 4 features two of Parliament's most respected members who were secretly filmed discussing how they would be prepared to use their contacts to benefit a private company and charge large sums of money.

This joint investigation by Channel 4 Dispatches and The Telegraph caused ripples throughout parliament which culminated in the resignation of the two elder statesmen of Westminster, Conservative MP Sir Malcolm Rifkind and Labour MP Jack Straw.

Both Bubble TV and Silk Sound were involved in the post-production on this show for Vera Productions with Steve completing the online edit and Will doing the mix.

International Emmy Award - Kids

The Third International Emmy® Kids Awards took place Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Congratulations go to all the team at Hit Entertainment as Mike The Knight was announced as the winner of the Kids:Preschool Category.

Bubble TV completed the post production for the animated series with Adrian working on the sound and Steve Gibbs the online. Congratulations to all involved!

Broadcast Award Winner!

Congratulations to Evan Williams Productions as they were this week awarded the Broadcast Award for the Best News and Current Affairs Programme for Dispatches: Nigeria's Hidden War on Channel 4.

The programme aired on Monday 18th August on Channel 4. Both Bubble and our sister company Silk were involved in the post production with Steve Gibbs working on the offline and online and Lee Willis completing the mix. Well done to all involved!

MTV - Chart Champions

All this month across the MTV Music channels, they are counting down the all time official best-selling tracks from your favourite artists.

Expect all the hits from One Direction to Linkin Park, Beyoncé to Katy Perry and David Guetta to Drake coming your way throughout January with a barage of their biggest tunes.

Jack recorded, mixed and did the sound design on the latest promo to celebrate this.

Kidnapping Freddy Heineken

Kidnapping Freddy Heineken is a film about the inside story of the planning, execution, rousing aftermath and ultimate downfall of the kidnappers of beer tycoon Alfred "Freddy" Heineken, which resulted in the largest ransom ever paid for an individual.

The film comes out in March 2015 but here's the trailer sound design and mix by James

How to Get away with Murder

Annalise Keating (Oscar-nominated,Tony-winning actress Viola Davis) is a brilliant, charismatic and seductive professor of defence law, who teaches a class called How to Get Away With Murder. Unexpectedly, she and her students end up having to apply practical knowledge from the course when they become entangled in a murder plot that not only shakes the entire university to the core but also changes the course of each of their lives.

James worked on the sound design and mix for the trailer for this series.
